Hate crime awareness - Wednesday 15th October, 12.30pm

Hate crime happens when someone is targeted because of who they are – for example, their race, religion, disability, sexual orientation or gender identity. It can have a huge impact on individuals and communities, but together we can raise awareness and learn how to respond.

Join us for a friendly session with Islington Council’s safeguarding team, where we’ll share practical information, answer questions and create a safe space for conversation.

Book your place by emailing [email protected] or calling 0207 263 6261.

Understanding Lasting Power of Attorney (LPA) - Tuesday 4th November, 10.30am-12pm

A Lasting Power of Attroney (LPA) is a legal document that lets you appoint someone you trust to make decisions about your health, welfare, property or finances if you lose the capacity to do so yourself.

Our workshop will explain the two types of LPA, how to apply and the costs involved. We’ll also highlight the upcoming fee increase on the 17th November and how you can act before the deadline to avoid higher charges.

Book your place by emailing [email protected] or calling 0207 263 6261.

Marekhi's story

“Thank you so much for all the support you have given me, I can tell how much you care and that has made a huge difference to me. It has really helped me to get out of my home each week and to interact and communicate with other people. I am learning new skills which will help me in the future. I feel like I am moving forward again.” Marekhi, aged 38, Westminster
